Roscommon Area Public Schools ranked #20 of 507 school districts in Bridge Magazine's "Academic State Champs". Roscommon ranks in the top 5% and is listed an "Overall Winner".
RHS Named "Reward" School by the MDE 2014
Roscommon High School was named a Reward school and ranked in the 83 percentile in the state for 2013-2014 by the Michigan Department of Education. RHS was also named a "Reward" school for 2012-2013.
RHS Named "Best High Schools" 2015
Roscommon High School awarded a Bronze Award on U.S. News and World Reports "Best High Schools 2015" list. Roscommon High School is consistantly a top performing high school.

RAPS Technology Initiative
RAPS 1:1 Technology Initiative supports the 21st century student. Each student K-12 is provided with a computing device. Students K-5 are provided iPads, while students 6-12 received Chromebooks. This initiative is supported with a comprehensive Technology Plan to take us into the future.

Gold Award of Distinction 2011
In 2011, the USDA announced the winners of the Healthier US School Challenge (HUSSC). Roscommon Middle School was chosen among the winners and was the ONLY school in Michigan to be awarded for the honor of "Gold Award of Distinction". Former middle school principal Ron Alden and Food Service Director Char Goddard received and were honored for their award at a White House reception hosted by Michelle Obama and the "Let's Move" campaign whose goal is to end childhood obesity within a single generation.
Michigan's Best 2011- Creative Arts Category
Roscommon Elementary was presented with the "Michigan's Best" award in the Creative Arts Category by the Michigan Association of School Boards and SET SEG School Insurance Specialists. "Michigan's Best" recipients are exemplary school programs chosen from among the Education Excellence Winners. Roscommon Elementary's Parent pARTners Art program won for contributing in a unique way to improve student achievement. Winners received the "Eddy" award statue and a check for $1,500 from SET SEG to help continue their program.
