Hanson Hills Reward Day May 25th
On Friday, May 25, our students are having a Reward Day from 8:30 – 1:00 pm at Hanson Hills in Grayling. If any parent(s) are interested in chaperoning, please contact Rosie Farrell at 275-6640, ext. 6852.
5th/6th Grade Band Concert May 23rd
The 5th and 6th grade band concert will be held at the RHS Auditorium May 23rd.
Relay for Life Pledge Event thru May 25th
Sixth grade teacher Mr. Church has pledged to run a Relay for Life Marathon. RMS's goal is to raise the $300 that Mr. Church needs for his pledge. Students are encouraged to participate in this charitable effort by bringing in their loose change. There will be jugs in various classrooms for students to deposit their contribution.
Summer Camp Registration
Flyers for summer sports camps registration information is available in the office. Camps are being offered for boys basketball, girl's basketball and volleyball.
Free Sports Physicals
Free sports physicals for next year are now being scheduled in the health center. Visit the School Based Health Center page to download a form, or stop by the office and pick one up.
Fall Sports Registrations
RNYSA 2012-2013 soccer registration information is available in the office. Anyone ages 4-14. Registration is Sat. May 19th.
RMS Students of the Month
Congratulations to our Students of the month for May 2012: Peyton Church, Dane Smitz, Skylar VanWormer, Skyler Rohde, Maria Jobin, Brandon Hahn, Nicholas Garrod, and Gage Major.
5th Grade Spring Concert
5th Grade Spring Concert "Music of Life" will be Thursday, May 31st at 6;30 pm. Students need to arrive at the High School at 6:00 pm. Students should try to wear bright, colorful clothing (no shorts or tank tops). If you have questions, call Mrs. Chmielewski at 275-6610.
RMS Student Wins Ice Cream for His School!
Roscommon Middle School student Noah Ekdom was selected by the Michigan DNR as an Outstanding Outdoor Kid for going above and beyond to preserve, protect and promote outdoor recreation opportunities in Michigan. Noah and the other Outstanding Outdoor Kid winners got a chance to serve on a panel of celebrity judges to choose the official Pure Michigan ice cream flavor of the Michigan State Parks. The judges selected Pure Michigan Caramel Apple as the winner. The maker of the ice cream, Hudsonville Ice Cream will come to Roscommon Middle School on May 18th to serve
